In Venezuela there are two branches of Elortegui. The easier way to identify them is by knowing something about the person who travelled to this country and founded each branch.
In chronological order, the first branch we have notice is founded by Francisco Elortegui Gambe and his wife Jacinta RodrÃguez, when he must leave Spain at the end of the Spanish Civil War (1936-1939).
Later, in may 1949, Antonio Elortegui Butron arrived to Venezuela after a hard travel from the Canary Islands through the Atlantic Ocean. He and his wife Sara Cruz Valido founded the another Elortegui branch at Venezuela.
